The Uniform Patrol Division is comprised of five patrol precincts located throughout the county. Each precinct is commanded by a Lieutenant that is responsible for providing primary law enforcement services to those citizens in their precinct’s area of responsibility.
Patrol Division provides service to the unincorporated parts of Cherokee County 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Deputies assigned to patrol are primarily responsible for responding to 911 calls, patrolling neighborhoods and businesses, as well as providing a visible deterrence to crime in Cherokee County. Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Uniform Patrol Division responded to more than 115,000 calls for service and drove more than 1.7 million miles last calendar year.
