The Hickory Flat precinct serves the area east of Interstate 575 from the Cobb County Line to State route 140 and south of Hwy 140 East to the Fulton County Line.

Lieutenant Olen Boughner currently serves as the Commander of the Hickory Flat Precient.

Lieutenant Boughner started his law enforcement career with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office in 2003. Throughout his career, he has served as Deputy in the Adult Detention Center; Uniform Patrol Division, where he served as a Field Training Officer, Shift Supervisor, and Watch Commander; Special Operations, where he served as a K-9 Handler; serves on the Cherokee Multi-Agency S.W.A.T. Team; and Criminal Investigation Division, where he worked person crimes.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from Carson-Newman University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management Leadership through Reinhardt University, and an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice through Chattahoochee Technical College. Lieutenant Boughner has his Intermediate, Advanced, and Supervisory POST certifications.
