Deputy Timothy “Wayne” Woodard was killed in a single car accident when he lost control of his patrol vehicle while responding to a 911 home invasion call.

Deputy Woodard’s career in law enforcement began in May, 1999 as a Correctional Officer at Macon State Prison. Wayne took the position of Deputy Sheriff with our agency in November 2001. Deputy Woodward obtained Basic Jail certification in January 2002 and Basic Peace Officer certification in March 2003.

Deputy Woodard is survived by his wife Missy Woodard, Family members - Lynn and Matt Woodard, Jeanette Beard, Lawrence Beard and Langdon Beard.
