Recruitment
Recruiting for qualified applicants is an ongoing effort by the Sheriff's Office. Lt. Baker is responsible for this function.
In addition to periodical advertising in newspapers in the metro Atlanta area, other recruitment techniques are utilized. These include "Job
Fairs" sponsored by other law enforcement agencies, the private sector, colleges, and technical schools. A display depicting officers of
this agency performing daily duties is presented to give potential applicants a better understanding of the diverse function of the Sheriff's Office.
In addition, Lt. Baker visits many college and technical school campuses, in association with the career development activities, in his recruitment
efforts. A recruitment video was recently produced to enhance the recruitment effort.
